How I Was Denied My Tea by a Cup Undergoing Defragmentation
The inside and outside begin to move, rotating into each other

The cup pulls me into a vortex of contemplation, a living koan that challenges everything I thought I knew about reality. The words of an ancient Zen koan come to mind:
“Above, not a single tile to cover the head; below, not an inch of ground for the foot.”
There is nothing solid or permanent in us or the world around us.
The inside and outside
As I stare at the cup, something strange happens. The inside and outside begin to move, rotating into each other in a hypnotic dance. With each rotation, the distinction between inside and outside becomes more tenuous. The walls become permeable, allowing what was hidden to pour out and what was external to flow in. Matter itself seems to lose its solidity, becoming a stream of energy that bends in impossible ways.
I watch, fascinated, as the cup transforms into a portal to a higher reality, a world where dualities merge and dissolve into a single pulsation. The inside becomes the outside and vice versa, in an endless cycle, showing me distinctions' illusory nature. The words of Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas resonate:
“Why do you wash the outside of the cup? Do you not realize that he who made the inside is the same one who made the outside?”
Symbol
In this state of grace, I understand that the cup symbolises the universe. Just as the inside and outside rotate into each other, everything is interconnected in an infinite network of relationships, where each part contains the whole.
In the vortex of transformation, the cup shatters, releasing its lines that rise and intertwine, drawing the 59th Hexagram of the I Ching in the air. Each line is a breath, a flap of wings that resonates with the ancient sacred text, carrying with it a message of change and renewal.

Journey
Each strand represents a single stride in the odyssey of the spirit, a trail that guides us to the realization that scattering is not a conclusion but a commencement, not a deprivation but an acquisition.
The 59th Hexagram serves as a poignant reminder that transformation is an inescapable aspect of our existence. While the process of disintegration may present itself as a formidable challenge, it is crucial to acknowledge that it carries within it the seeds of novel prospects and untapped potential.
The cup, now transformed into the lines of Hexagram 59, reveals to us that every fragment of ourselves is a piece of a larger mosaic, a universe in which we are called to flow without resistance, embracing every change as part of a divine design. Every dispersion is an opportunity to be reborn.
